Below you will find a summary of each course that I took while pursuing my M.A. in Educational Technology as well as examples of my coursework.
SUMMER 2012 COURSE (Duquesne University)
GILT 514: Management of Instructional Technology
Instructor: David Carbonara Grade: 4.0
This course focused on the necessary skills to be an instructional technology specialist and a district leader. I was able to create a Technology Plan for a district that included a budget, acceptable use policy and much more. Through this course I was able to look at instructional technology from a standpoint of an administrator. I was also created a portfolio that reflected upon the PDE competencies of an instructional technology specialist.

CEP 811: Adapting Innovative Technologies in Education
Instructor: Nancy Ayers Grade: 4.0
In this course, I learned more about TPACK as well as more technology tools that I could use in my teaching. I was also able to use a blog for the first time and I would blog my experiences weekly as well as my assignments. I learned about the principles of Universal Learning Design and was able to create a Stand Alone Instructional Resource. I was also able to learn about MERLOT and how it can be used as a resource for teachers. I was also able to contribute some of my course work to MERLOT, making it available for other teachers.

CEP 800: Learning in School and Other Settings
Instructor: Danah Hendrickson Grade: 4.0
This course was centered around the psychology around student learning and how technology can impact student learning in a variety of settings through creating different products and medias. In this class, I was able to look at theories of learning while gaining technological knowledge such as podcasts, creating and editing audio files, creating a lesson plan as well as a digital story. CEP 817: Learning Technology by Design
Instructors: Punya Mishra, Laura Terry and Catalina Park Grade: 4.0
This course was focused upon the principles of good design that can be found in Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics: idea/purpose, form, idiom, structure, craft, and surface. Through these principles of design, I was able to create an online course that taught the Spanish subjunctive mood using Weebly. While creating this website, I was able to receive feedback from my classmates as well as complete collaborative group assignments that related to the principles of design. CEP 820: Teaching Students Online
Instructors: Leigh Wolf and Sean Leahy Grade: 4.0
This course was centered around how to teach students online and the different means that are available to do so. In this course, I was required to select a Learning Management System in order to teach a course that lasted about 10 weeks. I selected to use the LMS haiku. Throughout the course we were able to design a course online as well as learning about the different methodologies of teaching when teaching students online as well as how to select the best LMS for your needs. SUMMER 2013 COURSES
CEP 815: Technology and Leadership
Instructors: Luke Rapa and Josh Rosenberg Grade: 4.0
This course focused on how leaders need to adapt to the changing technology that impacts teaching and learning. I was able to look at the technologies from many perspectives from planning, evaluation, management and the social aspects of being a technology leader.

CEP 822: Approaches to Educational Research
Instructor: David Wong and Tatyana Vladmirovna Grade: 4.0
This course focuses on educational research. In this course I learned about problems in research, the different types of research and created a research review. The course focused on the final research review project and the components of the rationale, sources, annotated bibliographies and findings. For my research review I investigated Technology- Enhanced Language Learning (TELL). I also was able to use statistics to see the research significance and read about different research methodologies.
CEP 807: Proseminar in Educational Technology Grade: 4.0
Instructors: Matthew Koehler, Andrea Zellner, Josh Rosenberg and William Cain
In this final course, I was able to create my online portfolio. This course is a reflection of my journey through the MAET program as well as my overall learning. This portfolio is my final evaluation before receiving my degree. I was able to receive feedback continuously from my peers and instructors about my portfolio as well as give feedback to my peers.
